Offering nurturing support and education to new mothers, fathers and their precious little ones.

"While mothers should be encouraged to trust their instincts, the missing piece of the message is that much of this mothering behavior is learned, not instinctive; and without the education and emotional support of teachers and nurturers, it is much more difficult and stressful to master" -Sally Placksin (Mothering the New Mother)

What is a Postpartum Doula?

A postpartum doula is a woman who assists the new mother, baby, and the rest of her family within the first few weeks after the birth of the baby. Postpartum doulas should be good with children, patient, non-judgmental, and knowledgeable about newborn care and breastfeeding (www.CAPPPA.net).
